Mark started his accounting career working for Georgia Pacific, followed by six years in the tax department of an international accounting firm.
Mark joined Grove, Mueller & Swank in 1984 as a founding shareholder. His areas of practice include individual and business taxation, divorce advisory services and business consulting in the medical and food-processing industries.
Mark has been a CPA since 1979 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Oregon State University.
Mark grew up in Salem and met his wife, Cindy, in math class at South Salem High School. Mark is an active member of his community. He is a past president of the South Salem Rotary (with thirty-four years of perfect attendance); a past president of the Salem Art Association; a past treasurer of the Mission Mill Museum; and he served for ten years on the Salem Hospital Board.
Mark also has chaired and served on the Oregon Society of CPAs Northwest Federal Tax Conference Committee for the past 28 years.
In his personal life, Mark has been married for 41 years, has two grown boys and is an avid golfer and sports car enthusiast. He also enjoys traveling and spending time at the family cabin at Lake of the Woods in Southern Oregon.
